Sweeteven

Consisting of three fabulous singers; Vincent Dixon, Eddie Dean Brown and Edward Blair, Jr.

These guys are tight and their voices blend together so smoothly they sound like a single instrument.

The vocal group Sweeteven was formed in 2008 by Eddie Dean Brown (1st & 2nd tenor). He recruited his two long time friends, Edward Blair Jr. ( 2nd tenor & baritone) and Vincent S. Dixon ( baritone & bass). All three men sing lead vocals and compliment each other with pure and precise background harmony.

Vincent and Eddie Dean both hail from Glenville High School ( Tarblooders ). Edward Blair Jr. is a graduate of East Tech High School (Scarabs ).

The name "Sweeteven" comes from the fact that all three men are members of the Sweeteven Society. A club in which the " game" of Sweeteven is played around the country.

Since becoming the vocal group Sweeteven, The guys have performed at many prestigious clubs and high profile events such as The Glenville Alumni Bash, The Legacy Village Festival ( as guest of The Girls Band), The Bedford City Hall, The Terry Macklin Event Center, The Glenville "Legacy" All Class Reunion Festival. The Dog Pound, O's Lounge, Spectators, The Broadway Pub, Peabody's and The Evolution and many more.

Their first CD, released in March 2010 is entitled "Fellas"

Including veterans of such legendary Cleveland-area bands as Tiny Alice, Wild Horses, and The Baskerville Hounds, the Blue Drivers feature blues standards by artists like Muddy Waters, Junior Wells and Little Walter, swinging jump blues by Louis Jordan, Tiny Bradshaw and Louis Prima, jazz tunes by Mose Allison and Billie Holiday, as well as modern blues, soul and originals.
